Born in Brasil, it took 15 years until Cesar first saw snow in his adopted country of Australia. It was a school trip, jeans were worn and the thought of taking lessons never crossing his mind.
His sense of travelling & adventure was ignited in 95. Cesar won a place in an exchange program and was sent to Hungary for one year. At 16, this was the 2nd time Cesar saw snow and his 2nd skiing experience. This time in the high Tatra Mountains of Slovakia, the only thing that these two experiences shared in common was that the idea of taking lessons was never contemplated!
Returning to OZ, Cesar started at RMIT a college in Melbourne and 5 years later earned himself a degree in Computer Science.
Shortly before graduating, along with his best friend Marco, Cesar fell into ski instructing. The year was 2001 and after a rather misleading application both boys were given jobs as ski instructors at Winter Park, CO. They arrived in early December ready to take on the world however once the staff at the ski school saw Cesar’s skiing and teaching ability all he takes on is baby sitting duties at the 3 year old program.
4 years later after working a various places both in the Northern and Southern hemispheres Cesar arrived in Aspen.
Now based at Aspen Cesar divides his time between working with guests from all walks of life and the four corners of the globe, coaching and inspiring younger and less experienced instructors in order to develop their skills and trying to keep his local hockey boys form getting into trouble!
When not skiing, Cesar hangs out with Ginny, develops his photography business and plans his next trip . . .
